The Out of the Desert Project at Yale University combines context-rich historical curation with modern web application to archive and interpret the history of World War II Japanese American incarceration for a broad public audience. The site offers multiple modes for exploring this history: an interactive map of incarceration sites, an image gallery of digitized material objects, and downloadable curricula (outofthedesert.yale.edu)
